LT42 Dan this is a cracker, it even has holders for all my pens on the pocket https://tr.barbour.com/barbour-game-yagli-parka-ol71-olive-602?srsltid=AfmBOopuv7colBCHNNdPg_8sHeKRrw-HyMUGoIC51djs0FjcPf0ZaISMFXU
bosstrabs For the proper winter jacket, I’ve got a Fjallraven parka, which cost about 700 quid. I don’t even like it, but Beijing winters are brutal and I’d rather rock that than a local brand or a knock-off Canada Goose. Absolute scenes!
Dan @LT42 I have lived in these jackets for eons. 🦖 https://www.barbour.com/gb/liddesdale%C2%AE-quilted-jacket-MQU0001BK91.html
vinnyt77 I’m on my 2nd North Face parka for ultra cold days. In the market for something for warmer winter days. Suggestions thus far, not helpful in the slightest 👍️
Amps vinnyt77 Lollers, 18 degrees here in October, all the trees still have their leaves. Global warming says you’ll never need anything that heavy weight in this country again.
Along_the_Wire vinnyt77 Got something similar - was a godsend when I was in NYC and Chicago in Feb - it was -15 to -24
vinnyt77 Smallman1 Thanks buddy. Suspect your aversion to it is that your neck is so long, that it wouldn’t be capable of keeping it warm.
vinnyt77 Amps Yeah - only gets an outing a few times a year in the UK. Constant companion on my last few trips to the Alps (Austria and France) and Canada last winter.
303abuser Amps To be expected and it’s not like you get actual winter anyways. Just throw on a long sleeve and carry an umbrella, you’ll be fine.
bosstrabs I disagree, you need something for when the chill blows through here like an arctic wind whenever Amps is on a Twitterbilge/Monbiot posting spree.
LT42 I got one of these Alpha Industrie jobbies about 10 years ago because they said you could hang out the back of an AC-130 and not feel the cold. Last winter was the coldest winter I’ve ever felt in my life and it saved me.
