  • What "Other" music do you listen to/recommend?

Every Beach House album sounds exactly the same, a load of chintzy guitar and some soppy cunt singing about a broken heart.

Smallman1 Don’t know which album you have listened to. It’s shoe gaze, full of swelling synths/guitars and haunting female vocals. Anyway, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure as they say.

They play a lot of therr stuff on radio 6. Still haven’t bought any of their music.

You can’t even list the non EDM music you like on here without getting a load of uninformed snark back 😂

It’s only person taste. You probably dislike most of the stuff I post . That’s what I like about this board. Not everyone’s into the same music. It would be pretty boring if we did.
I missed most the whole indie music scene as I deeply into electronic music and still are mainly.

Dubman if you’ve got any non EDM recommends, I’d be happy to give them a whirl mate. My comment was aimed more at Ed 😉. FYI, the Martin Gore track is good (instrumental)

        How we roll!

Fontaines D.C. album is good (released earlier this year). One that my son (whose tastes are currently more guitar based) got me into. I have managed to get him into Aphex which is a result!

        Doors - Morrison Hotel

ArchimedesQ wtf is shoegaze, like all about eve shit?

LOL, I thought we had educated posters on here.

          ArchimedesQ wtf is shoegaze,

An unwanted side-effect of Dave going out in his horrific green trabs.

Bystanders stopped in their tracks, gazing at the pastel green horrors mystified, thinking wtf and debating wether to call him some mental first aiders.

          Ignore MC.

          Probably the peak of Shoegaze:

Southern Hip Hop….I love the sounds that came out of the Dirty South in the late 90’s. UGK, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Ludacris, Juvenile, Lil Wayne…in my late teens/early 20’s, before I really got into clubbing, this is what was on at house parties I went to. I still love listening to Outkast and Goodie Mob just about any time.

Dubman My all time favorite Outkast track - and I know there are “better” ones - is Wheelz of Steel. It screams nostalgia to me.

I didn’t get into them until the speakerbox album which is their last album I believe. Was also into cypress hill, Funkdoobiest & a few others.

Dubman Yeah I think you’re right! I was kinda on to other things by the time they came out with that haha. Definitely go back and check out some of the older stuff, if you haven’t already. And Goodie Mob as well.
