That’s exactly my point though. I unashamedly own and buy CDs. I like them. I like owning them and browsing my collection. It’s no different to owning books or collecting anything else. I paid £55 for the GU collectors series because I own the rest on limited.
The music on my iPods started as the “bootleg” mixes that you can’t get on itunes, Apple Music and Spotify and grew out of downloading transitions mixes. Although now it includes the frisky shows of Pole Folder and Lemon8. The point made about having something tangible is very valid.
80% of the music though on them isn’t available on other platforms or services.
I’m hardly scouring the internet to find other sources, they are available and made available on 1 or 2 sites.
If Mixcloud made the Digweed mixes available to purchase MP3 I would buy and then I could understand them clamping down on MS.
Most MS and Tribalmixes users are after sets that aren’t available elsewhere.
Along_the_Wire It’s 2020 MC. I assume Matty is still buying CDs and fully-priced downloads and is refusing steadfastly to move to streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify?
