Mixcloud Select can stream up to 320k so I imagine the Bunker streams are this standard. The rips that are available at this standard also basically it’s the same quality as the Mixcloud set.

The MS sets had FLAC available as well as MP3 which is basically WAV from the original source. I don’t know how this could be achieved other than from the source itself.

Spotify allows you to listen off line, so could mixcloud do something similar? That would be handy for times when don’t have decent internet access

At the end of the day Digweed is providing a service(a good one and a highlight of the past several months and well worth the 3.99 a month) and is trying to keep money in the scene while staying connected with his fans.

Do you think mixcloud select could be the future for releasing commercial mixes? Digweeds Live In series only on mixcloud, plus CD until that market dies. He could then whack the mixcloud select subscription fee up to account for these mixes.

SM001 internet is available everywhere so streaming is perfectly viable.

Having given it some thought, and had my eyes open by you wonderful people I’ve subscribed to Digweeds Mixcloud.

I’m still going to source the sets elsewhere as long as I can as Mixcloud doesn’t work for me as a platform, but as the money goes to the artists it’s still a steal.

Although saying that , it’s not £3.99 as everyone keeps mentioning it’s £4.80 to include VAT - robbing bastards. !!

I don’t use BBC Sounds but for mixcloud you have to download and play via the app

Essential Mixes I unashamedly download from other sites on the very rare event there is a mix I want.

So you can download the streams and listen offline when you’re on the plane or whatever. You have to play through the app though. The stream quality is around 128k judging by the size of the download files.

I don’t know whether the stream itself is of higher quality in download mode

I’d consider buying (even with VAT) if I could listen to them on the move. If not, it’s pointless which is why I ask.
