I just assumed he was going to tear it up on the decks, however he delivered a technically sound warm up set, but which was great but it didn’t really change gears at any point.

Have to say I enjoyed seeing John mix vinyl for old times sake, and to realize how good on the 1s & 2s he really was/still is. Must be absolute muscle memory.

Tune wise some of the selection was a bit off and musically didn’t get me going TBH.

Wonder if it’s 20 and out…..how long can these carry on I wonder

I was very surprised how tight the mixing was. Seemed absolutely effortless.

If Uncle John wants a night off he should get a pack of cans, a comfy chair and do a live Q&A. ‘An evening with…’ style. Gets to pick the questions he wants to answer to filter out the dummies and the more ‘dedicated’ types of his fan base. Chuck in a couple of humourous annecdotes from 30 odd years of clubbing, a few interesting tidbits on running a musical empire and bob’s yer uncle.
