Just read this article from back in May last year; it is nothing to do with Trump and the information is not that recent of a development. It is also not particularly complex or “difficult to follow”:

As per the article, the National Institutes of Health has already admitted to Congress that Fauci’s department funded gain-of-function research at Wuhan (research which is illegal in the US).

Plus, from the article:

"The House subcommittee is still investigating whether COVID-19 accidentally leaked out of a lab in Wuhan, which has been described as the most likely cause of the pandemic by the FBI, US Energy Department, ex-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Dr. Robert Redfield and former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe.

Mad_Cyril You’re not missing anything. This is a review of old information and the conclusions are published with “low confidence”. It probably came from a lab leak, who knows how, we’ll never find out.

Is gain of function research, particularly in China, a dumb idea? Probably. Is Fauci responsible for that in some way? Possibly, but again, facts are sparse there as far as I’m aware.

Are military and healthcare workers who refused to get vaccinated still in the category of ill-informed muppets? Absolutely.
