I think it’s a good idea to do a lymphocyte panel if you’ve had it, or even you hadn’t, it’s good to have a baseline for future reference in case you do get it and do one afterwards.

Even if it is “only” killing T cells in the acute phase, you don’t want to get hit like that multiple times..

deadhead I think the problem doing tests like that is that you don’t have an intervention that can ameliorate a lymphopenia . There’s also no reason a lymphopenia would result in typical long covid symptoms per se. Add to that you may have perfectly functional T helper and cytotoxic cell function despite a reduced count but it’s interesting work. Many viruses cause acute lymphopenia e.g EBV but few have now been studied to the extent Covid has.
