Amps I was going to say something trite and obvious the way Alistair does “yeah he needs to hit all the fairways and the middle of the greens to be in with a chance” but I’m a total armchair fan and would be better off saying something pointless like “yeah if he can put the ball in the hole when he has the chance then he’ll be grand.”

LT42 I confess I’ve hardly added a lot of insight myself, but, as an observation, yeah, his putting was, as it’s always been, an issue last week. I agree his driving was sweet, but, drive for show, put for dough, and the greens are always mad at Augusta. How many time has he been in with a shout on the Sunday and fell away at the Masters? I can remember at least twice, and my memory for sports is crap.

The Masters has to be the best run sports event on the planet. A couple of mates of mine drove down from Louisville. 500 quid for the 4 days and once inside, sambos are between $1.50 and $3.00, Breakfast $1.00 - $3.00, Domestic and Import Beers $5.00. All member organised. Think I’m going to go next year. Shouting “Get up your hole!” in my chino shorts.
