    Splashed out on a high end GPU at the weekend so I might grab Cyberpunk to blast it off. Has anyone given it a go? Worth a punt?

    Going through Cyberpunk 2077 now. Decent.

          Do any of you regularly shop at Game? Ever known them to have a game case on the shelf but the game actually be out of stock?

            Finished Cyberpunk and had a blast. So much so I’m doing a second playthrough instead of moving onto Elden Ring. I know it was rough when it came out but Cyberpunk is grand now. A Next gen fallout. 9 cyberware implants / 10

              Amps They get display copies of games for (amazingly) displaying on the shelves so it’s possible. Was it new or preowned? If it was new, they were probably trying to steer you to a preowned copy since they get all the money.

              Console games retail / digital sales for 2022 were 28%:72% split. Would be surprised if game et al are around that much longer tbh.

                  Wally Was told a game wasn’t in stock when there were four copies of it on the shelves. I though this was a bit odd. All brand new.

                      Amps Sounds like they fucked up the grift. Tell the customer they can’t buy it new but they can buy it preowned £££.

                            Wally Happily didn’t start it until middle of last year, and really enjoyed it. Am on my second playthrough at the moment. Top stuff.

                                vinnyt77 Yeah it’s great. I’m really enjoying creating a quickhacking stealth ninja this time. I wish the game had guided you towards making the custom build you wanted to make as it’s loads of fun I just totally missed out on my first ‘jack of all trades’ build in my first run. I really like you can make a total game breaker character that’s absolutely lethal and can nuke entire groups of baddies in one go lol.

                                  We’ve just got a switch. Will report in!

                                  I’m about 60 hours into Horizon Forbidden West on the PS5 with no end in sight! Its a very good game to be fair, although as usual there are way too many weapon choices and add ons etc. Would be good to just have a small range to choose from instead of multiple coils, weaves and valours (whatever that all means)

                                  I’ve also purchased the ps5 version of The Witcher 3 as I keep hearing amazing things about it and it was only £21

                                    Agreed. Diminishes an otherwise excellent game IMO. Just not necessary. I ended up using the same 5-6 weapons throughout the game, and maxing their capability, rather than bothering with the full range. Pretty standard across most shooters these days though…

                                          gcw Excellent game. Agree about weapon choices. It’s way more complicated that it needed to be but other than that, it’s a bobby dazzler. Curiously enough, almost all of the improvements it made over the first one were ‘borrowed’ from Witcher 3 which is one of the best of all time. Probs my fave game.

                                            vinnyt77 good to know. Suspect it will be many months before I start it as I have 4 games in front of it once I finish HFW. Hopefully all bugs sorted by then.

                                              mono-stereo picked up a 3060ti Ventus OC. The system seems to purr now rather than wheeze, which is a good thing.

                                                Horizon Forbidden West completed today. A very enjoyable game indeed. Surprised to see I’ve put 75 hours into it.

                                                Next up CoD Vanguard which I got gifted to me months ago for the X Box Series X. I can’t face another massive open world game so this will do a treat
