Guardians of the glaxay - Really enjoyed that. The gameplay isn’t going to set the world on fire but the story hit all the right notes (it’s really quite touching in places) and hanging around with the guardians for a bit was exactly what was written on the tin. Good work. 8.5/10
The Gaming Thread
Have decided to give ‘Warframe’ a chance - not my usual type of game but people who play it rave about it so we shall see.
This might interest some of you:
Wally They need to fix the recent trilogy remasters first. You know if they’re gonna keep fixing those or have they washed their hands of them already?
I’m holding off jumping into Vice City hoping they release a few updates and fixes down the line after everyone loosing their shit how they were released a few months ago.
I think the website mentions it’s well underway and been in development a while.
So…. Finish next year?
Horizon Forbidden West had arrived when I got back from work. It’s still installing (97 GB!), and I’m busy tonight but I do have tomorrow booked as holiday
I’ve still not played Zero Dawn. I kind of want a PS5 too before I dive into Forbidden West.
Fwiw, the ps4 version of the new Horizon is supposed to be rock solid. The majority of dev was done on it as the developers used PSN Now for testing during covid so it got loads of attention and custom assets. With Guerilla games being a sony first party I’d expect it to sing tbh.
That said, not being a last gen Millsy peasant, I have it on my ps5 so this doesn’t concern me.
Hate the lack of Eldin Ring hype around here. Ya’ll need to man up and play some fucking From games.
Waiting on reviews.
Currently hammering Warframe which is very cool but ridiculously unfriendly to new players.
zackster just not my kind of game

Millsy Am gen sad to hear that. FF7R is undoubtedly my all time favorite video game. However, I recognized that it was essentially just an extremely complex dating sim, so I can appreciate someone not liking it. FF7OG is to me what Star Wars, and the like, must be to my fellow Jaded Clubbers who watch children’s TV programs on the Disney Channel.
FromSoft games are entirely different. The stories are essentially non-existent and are only really relaid through item descriptions. In other words, there is story if you want it, but 99.99% of the game play is having the shit scared out of you and slogging through endless nightmares. The combat systems are completely out of this world, and the difficulty factors are through the roof. Cannot recommend Bloodborne enough. Can get it for like $20 these days. Beyond scary and engaging. Ludwig is probably my favorite video game boss of all time, and that is truly saying something.

Yeah cracking game that. I had to google the tactics needed against each boss as I was a complete newbie to this type of game and I was getting nowhere with each one (The Spider one in particular). The atmosphere in it was amazing.
