Maybe Iâm being too rabbithole here, but all this sends a bad precedent. Too many wackos think they know these players because they follow them on social media - like theyâre âfriendsâ. The line between player and fan seems increasingly blurred. The NFL, Football, and Baseball donât have to fret - the field is too big. A basketball court has 10 players, a small court, and fans right on top of them. Fans often yelling ridiculous, racist, stuff. Itâs hard to regulate words. Itâs often hearsay. But if you throw shit? And youâre caught? Fuck off.
It would only take one idiot fan to go full Artest, but in the reverse, and the manner in which we consumes sports will never be the same. Eat your popcorn, pussy.
