Blocco 181.
New Italian drug gang series set in Milan. No Gomorrah but then what is. Couple of episodes in and liking it so far. Seems to be focusing on a Romeo and Juliet type relationship across the gangs.

Jules72 I mean fair play to you for owning up to this. The trailer for it makes me want to baseball bat my TV. It looks shite.

Hot water bottle for your tummy, Jules?

Sherwood is bloody brilliant. Anyone else watching?

Yep. It’s half decent. All based on a true story I believe.

season 2 of the flight attendant is shit. wish she would just have a drink instead of moaning about it the whole time

Take it Flight Attendant isn’t first class?

        OLB’s in the house!

This new mini series The Offer seems to be getting good reviews, has anyone dove in yet?

Just finished S3 of Westworld. Started off quite well then quickly descended into an unfathomable mess.

mono-stereo the first episode of Season 4 had some terribly clunky exposition dialogue, but man do they do the visuals great. I still like it, but I probably give it a LOT of leeway just because I love how it looks. It turned into a just another scifi-show for a lot of people after they left the park, but I’m ok with it.

Oh, season 4 of True Detective coming, this time with a new showrunner. Issita Lopez writes and directs everything, and she’s cool. And the combo of Jodie Foster and HBO is certainly promising.

Title is officially True Detective: Night Country

“In True Detective: Night Country, from writer/director/showrunner Issa López, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”

LT42 it’s pretty good. Not great. Could have been 4-5 episodes, but I think it’s around 8.

Been watching The Bear. It’s on FX/Hulu. Quite good! Does an excellent job of showing how a kitchen is really ran and the acting is solid. Also quite amusing at times. Just 8 episodes so not a big commitment.

Other than being prone to preachiness, We Own This City is compelling drama and John Bernthal’s performance is magnificent.
A bit like watching The Wire in a parallel universe with many of the same actors on show. Highly recommended

It’s ok. Very patchy and feels badly edited; if you had no prior knowledge of the real story you wouldn’t know what the fuck was going on for the first 2 episodes. Please don’t compare it to The Wire though.
