Once upon a time in Iraq. A documentary series on BBC 2 about the Iraq war. Only 2 episodes in but it’s so shocking and disturbing but a must watch.

…no idea if its been mentioned here, but the Keith Haring doc on iPlayer “Keith Haring: Street Art Boy” is one of the best things I’ve seen in ages.

An incredible snapshot of NYC in the late 70’s/early 80’s. what a mad place… squats, street art, punk and the Paradise Garage… loved it to bits, highly recommended.

Cheers for the heads up. Will give that a go as I’m fascinated by that era of NYC. Probably why I loved “The Deuce” even though it’s probably not that great of a show. That city just seemed so crazy but so alive. Manhattan just doesn’t have that energy anymore. Too expensive, I guess.

I watched that a few weeks ago after Lauren Laverne mentioned it on Radio 6. I never heard of him up until I saw the film but certainly recognised his art work.

Dubman …been into street/urban art for ages, and was certainly aware of him, but never really gave him credit for the impact he had on the wider art world.

He was so prolific, you can actually pick up signed sketches/doodles for relatively modest money… the problem with that kinda stuff is usually provenance.
