vinnyt77 “Mare” was a brilliant series. Really touched me on a human level. The ending tied up the loose ends rather beautifully I thought.

Last episode of Mare of Eastown was proper.

Brought the whole thing together nicely, well paced, no loose ends.

A rarity in an era where everything has to be a cliffhanger, and all the better for it.

I also thought Mare was a great series. Much prefer a series with 5-8 episodes, as it’s long enough to get into the plot and characters, but doesn’t need to try and fill extra stuff in just because it has 15 episodes to complete.

Winslet was very good in it

There has been some top quality series this year - The Serpent, Zero Zero Zero, Mare of Easttown

Guess I’m in the minority here. Just thought the “who dunnit” twists and turns did the show a disservice but, once again, everyone else seems to have loved it so that must be on me.

Expectations are the mother of disappointment. I just really enjoyed the show and felt its subtlety was one of its best attributes (sans our man getting shot in the head). Last two episodes fell flat for me. But, once again….expectations.

I was also unbelievably hammered on Sunday. Can’t imagine that helped. “FAWWWWWK YOU MAAARE”
