Jules72 I thought it was mostly filler and anti-climactic. Was genuinely surprised when the finale ended, I figured there had to be at least a half hour left. Good premise, awful story telling.
Here’s what I’m talking about, I’ll block this out for anyone who hasn’t started the series:
What is the point of introducing Henry and his brother, the doctor, and all the related characters, just to kill them less than an hour later? It did nothing for the plot and was essentially a massive waste of time. The episode in the mall could have been 10 minutes long, it was all unnecessary. And after the episode with the two gay guys, which I thought was a really great plot device to explain how they found a truck, they set the expectation of a slow pace through the narrative. Then they resolve the hospital scene in 10 minutes, which was the culmination of the entire season. They could have taken 12 episodes to get to when he found his brother, developed the characters and paced it properly, and left the rest for a second season. It’s also possible that modern audiences have zero patience and attention span and wouldn’t sit through all of that, so maybe it’s just me lol
