alistair Your friends and neighbours with John Hamm has been superb so far. His coolest role since Don Draper. Love the Maserati and watches.
Dubman Just finished the last episode of ‘The Assembly ’ on Itv. Powerful, honest TV at it’s very best
gcw I started ‘Succession’ last night, and although I am only 2 episodes in I am really enjoying it and looking forward to the rest of it. I literally despise every character - with Kieran Culkin’s character Roman being #1 - and hoping a few of them succumb to something over the course of the series!
Smallman1 Watching Temptation Island with me Julie. It is absolutely horrific. This is Michael Winner signing out.
303abuser For trash tv, temptation island used to be half decent. The new season on Netflix is terrible.
Homegrove Finished the 70s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (I watched one episode a week pretending it was airing on TV, don’t really binge these days). Loved it! So dull and ugly, and that’s a compliment. What I think the 2011 movie did better was not to show Karla or Ann, though the final scene with Smiley and Ann was important to understanding Smiley, but not the story.
Dubman Just finished watching Mobland and thought it was half decent. No doubt they’ll be a second season. 7/10
Phil-McRackin Series 3 of 100 Foot Wave on Sky Atlantic. The further adventures of gnarly old surfer Garrett McNamara and a group of other wave riders. Enjoyable stuff with the usual great surfing footage.
Homegrove I love the show, but it’s amazing how McNamara keeps doing it, because it just makes him look like a bigger asshole every season. But this one has had some amazing stuff, I loved the episode where they go to the place in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
alistair Enjoyed the first episode of Stick on Apple. The role of sad sack ex golfer fits Owen Wilson like a glove. Funny, heartwarming etc.
Homegrove Ooh this makes me very happy. I own the four previous series on DVD and have watched them quite a few times.
RichM Homegrove owning it on dvd seems a bit far fetched. Surely this is a watch it once and never again type tv?
rhouses Goddamn that picture makes me feel old. Lol. Age hasnt been kind to brydon. Will watch, marathon it pretty much every 2 years.
Mad_Cyril If we’re going down that route Rob & Rylan’s Grand Tour was surprisingly good, especially the final episode. Ashamed to say I actually found myself warming to the alabaster toothed fool (in a non-gay way). Good if you like Italy and only 3 episodes
