Alien Earth
Erm, yeah, decent effort in that they didn’t just remake one of the films as a TV series, but it still fell a bit flat for me. The whole Willie Wonka, Peter Pan, Bladerunner somehow meets Jurassic Park didn’t really work… and I don’t know how, but they somehow made the alien less scary. Possibly because it’s on the screen so much and out of it’s normal context.
And as with all TV shows, they’re happy as fuck to just fill great swathes of the air time with people banging on about ‘how they feel’, when they could have had a really interesting sub plot on the go.
Also, Olyphant needs to hit the gym asap. His head is way bigger than his body and he looks like a Thunderbird puppet.
