I have 4 mates in a group who are really enjoying this Laker series, Reilly is very good in it I heard. Jonathan also said Heat “is just not good at all.” The only advice I’d take from him on anything TV related would be Banh Mi and thats not even TV related, Rhouses.

LT42 Brody as Riley, again, sounds pretty damn good on paper. Watched the first mins, and it might be a bit too artsy fartsy, but will persevere.

lol I wasn’t too impressed with Heat either, if I’m being honest. But that was mostly thanks to the horrible sound mastering.

When did I say that? And Heat is a movie and thus totally and completely irrelevant to this thread. We’re talking about television.

I think Heat is fine. The way some fawn after it like it’s some iconic masterpiece doesn’t make much sense to me, but it’s alright. Way too long, mind.

Gave the first episode a go - the weak script (especially the quotes for the trailers), constantly breaking the 4th wall in the worst possible way, the hectic editing which is quite overt, the in your face colour tone to make sure we never forget we’re in the 80s, meh. Not for me. @LT42

Ones we had in Saigon were shocking.

Ones we had where we were staying just outside Hoi An were outstanding. Top 5 sandwiches ever.

vinnyt77 Hanoi, Da Nang and Hue, all wretched. The bread for the one in Hue was soggy from an unknown liquid. Mine went straight into the bin.
The Cao Lau was so good in Hoi An that I never ventured away from it and tried the sandwiches.

Watched the last episode of Gazza last night on BBC 2. Didn’t realize how troubled he was ,no doubt down to the drink but I’m positive the media didn’t help whatsoever. Piers Morgan & Rebecca Wade come across as a right pair of Cnuts.
