Sicario is so fucking good.
Is Vicky Cristina Barcelona any cop?
Brutalist. Really liked this film and didn’t feel too long at all which really surprised me. Great acting everywhere. 7/10
Cronos. An early Guillermo del Toro film that’s been remastered. A film about a device that gives eternal life. Feels more like a David Cronenberg film - it’s considered a classic, but I wouldn’t go that far A decent 7/10
Smallman1 Is Vicky Cristina Barcelona any cop?
I think you will like it Ed for the obvious reasons, but for me it’s pretty forgettable. I haven’t enjoyed a Woody Allen since Match Point though, having recent seen Blue Jasmine which got rave reviews and found it also pretty meh, so I’m probably the wrong person to be giving advice on these sorts of movies.
I’ve always wondered how Woody Allen has a career. Forget the stuff he should probably be jailed for, his movies are utter shite.
Along_the_Wire how well it flows considering it’s length is the second most surprising thing about The Brutalist. The most surprising this is it’s budget considering what it looks like.
303abuser Annie Hall and Manhattan are brilliant
Along_the_Wire I’ve not seen either. That child groomer is another blind spot in my movie history. My ex made me watch Match Point though, and knowing her taste I expected to hate it but it was pretty good actually.
Along_the_Wire The Sleeper is decent, mate.
Along_the_Wire I think I made it through 10 minutes of Annie Hall, don’t know if I’ve seen Manhattan. I really hate everything I’ve ever seen of his. Plus the pedo thing. He’s so bloody creepy.
Along_the_Wire yup, Hannah and her sisters too
