Falling Down (1993)
One of my favourite films ever. The director did a great job of making you feel the anxiety throughout, and Michael Douglas played the role perfectly. LA looks like an absolute cesspit at times. The ending was always a bit of a let down for me, as you are really rooting for Douglas’ character, so the way that is resolved was a shame although understandable.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024)
I was expecting this to be an absolute stinker, as per most of these 80s reboots/rehashes - but it was actually ok, and very consistent with the first film. The final scene in the church was slightly odd (even compared to the rest of the film), and they did a good job in involving the Charles Deetz character without actually using the actor. Monica Bellucci can also suck my soul any day she likes!
