Phil-McRackin The Witch: Part 1. Korean action film about a girl with amenesia who has a few hidden skills. Quiet first half then explodes in the 2nd with some great set pieces.
Smallman1 Dan Nice….I’d fancy that one day. My folks did it a few years ago. Did it 11 years ago and have to say I absolutely loved San Fran. Am sure its changed lots since but I thought it was ace.
Homegrove Dan That movie is so well done, and does a number on most people when seen the first time, as they view Douglas’ character as a hero. Then in the end you realize Duvall’s character was right about what he would have done in the end.
jonattonyeah Dan Have you seen “Unhinged”? It’s kinda similar in a way. Fat Russell Crowe hates the world. I enjoyed it but I like any movie involving road rage.
Millsy It’s even better if, using your imagination, you change Douglas’s, William ‘DFens’ Foster character name to ‘Dermo’.
Amps Millsy Saw both for the first time at nine years old in some bar in Salou. Absolute gold at that age, hoped up on cola and crisps, halcyon stuff.
Christian Just watched Sherpa on Netflix. Pretty interesting film about Everest. Have learnt that you should never call a Sherpa a muthafucker as they really don’t like it
Dubman Christian I’ve been very fortunate to spend some time with a few Sherpas. One of them had summited Everest a few times but then on an expedition summit attempt on Makalu he lost one of his gloves and got severe frostbite and lost a few fingers. He’s now a trekking guide but is so humble and still enjoys working in the mountains.
Christian Dubman they do an amazing job for very little money. It’s unbelievable how some of them get treated in this film by the “clients”
Along_the_Wire Dubman it’s grim work, I don’t think they enjoy it. I gave our guys massive tips when we did the Inca Trail.
