The Gray Man - duo from Blade Runner (Gosling & de Armas) in a film that starts off like Blade Runner. Gosling is Sierra Six (hmm, sounds familiar…) and hunts down and kills one of his own (hmm, sounds familiar).
Captain America as the bad guy. Even does his own stunts. Badly. Instead of slumping down when he gets a dart, he does some skip and roll like he’s got his shield with him. Needs to protect his money maker after all.
The dialogue for the character building during the first part of the film is as subtle as a claw hammer to the face.
Attempts at humour just fall flat. I did laugh at one of the torture scenes where a guy is getting his nails pulled out though. Shockingly bad scene all round.
Overall, it just doesn’t hit the mark.
