I really wasn’t expecting to enjoy the Equaliser 3 as much as I did. Denzil still hugely watchable, loved the Southern Italian backdrop too. 8/10

1922: I vaguely remember someone on here enjoying this. Always liked Thomas Jane, he’s underrated and overall the acting is very good. You will need subtitles, because you can barely make out what he’s saying, the southern accent is heavy. Plus he’s doing a voice over through it as well, so a lot of talking. Story wise, it’s typical Stephen King - not much of a spoiler because it happens right at the start, but the plot centers around a farmer and his son murdering the matriarch. The gore is pretty hardcore. It’s not in your face scary, but extremely creepy and unsettling. A pure horror movie if you’re a fan of the genre. 7.8 / 10

I’ve seen Fellini’s Roma again. It is so funny and weird. 10/10
I was in Rimini this year, and there is a Fellini museum, worth visiting it.
Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead (1995)
Ex gangster who went straight, does one last job that goes wrong. Been done loads of times of course, but this was one of the better ones 7/10
The Passenger (1975)
This was the film Jack Nicholson made straight after One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. I didn’t even know it existed, and the backstory is kind of interesting in that Nicholson/the studio sat on it for years with very few screenings ever made.
It was a slow burner and although Jack was excellent as usual, I was a little bored to be honest. Journalist takes on the identity of a dead man, who turned out to be an arms dealer. Cue a chase around Europe. 5/10
Deep Cover (1992)
Jeff Goldblum and Laurence Fishburne in an undercover cop film. I enjoyed this. So very 90s but had a good feel to it. Didn’t veer off into any comedy nonsense.
7.5/10
Saw three films on the plane. Not the greatest.
American Sniper - curious after it was posted here recently. Good yarn, had no idea it was a true story. Worth a watch 6.5/10
Deep Cover. An absolutely fucking awful attempt at neo noir with Laurence Fishburne. Terrible 2/10
Talk to Me - don’t like horror but got decent reviews. Australian film where you want everyone dead because it’s so fucking stupid. Shite ⅒
Along_the_Wire lol see my post immediately before yours. Didn’t think Deep Cover was that bad, but agree it was trying too hard to be neo noir. I’m a bit of a sucker for 90s films at the moment though
Thief 1981 James Caan can’t believe only seeing recently. 8.5/10 proper classic.
gcw LOL - did someone mention it earlier in here as a recommendation?!
Dan love that
Along_the_Wire don’t think so. Talk about a coincidence
Along_the_Wire Saw three films on the plane.
vinnyt77 NFL trip!
Along_the_Wire NICE! You watch your lot lose last night? Or going somewhere with some fun?!
