Killers of the flower moon - same thoughts as others - very good, some powerhouse performances and interesting subject matter but it’s a looooonnnnggg film that doesn’t entirely justify it. 8/10

Past Lives - Korean number with quite a bit of it played out in New York. I read Kermode review after I watched it (fucking laughable) - it was so dull and the story so ridiculous, I’m staggered it even got made. The most interesting thing was recognising where her apartment was in the East Village. 3/10 as it was well shot and the music was pretty good.

Homegrove Brilliant film. The second one properly rattled me as a kid. William Holden Lance Henriksen put in great performances.

Dubman I saw that in a theatre when it was rereleased in 2000. Scared me and my mates properly. After the movie ended everyone was very eager to go to the pub to avoid going home alone (went with two friends, and all three of us had our own flats).

Haven’t seen it since, will keep an eye out for the new 4K remaster to come to streaming somewhere.

I watched it in the early 80’s when it was first released on VHS video. Back then you would hire films for the whole week. I watched it with some mates during the summer holidays whilst my parents were at work. It’s still the scariest film I’ve ever seen.

My rating and review for Killer Moon is retained, even after the second watch.

Sold a pair of second-hand sneakers which I bought for $65 for $300 on reddit, and the hot belgian fries with garlic mayo, a hot dog drenched in bbq sauce and a blueberry muffin hit the spot - the 3.5 hours felt relatively productive.
