Along_the_Wire If it was a critique of the gig economy, it would have been about how an accidental fuck up can get you black listed from other jobs and / or increasingly difficult working conditions for less and less pay. He would have been replaced by another hit man in a comment on a disposable workforce and such like. There’s none of that there. It’s a basic revenge story (with a slight hint of how do you act when your world breaks down with the killer becoming increasingly erratic and breaking his own mantra) flashily done.
I still maintain Fincher did it because Netflix paid for him to make Mank.
