Napoleon starts well with a bit of humour and then it’s all about his slag of a wife and his soppy letters in spite of it all, loads of tedious battle scenes, some of the worst, cartoon-esque CGI I’ve ever seen. I thought it was nearing the end and then Waterloo - how the fuck did I forget about that. Cannons. Infantry. Cavalry. 15 minute epic etc and so on. 5/10 and I’m being generous because of Kirby and Phoenix’s performance. Ridley Scott has a high shit-rate for such an acclaimed director.
