We did a double bill with Leave the World Behind and Knock at the Cabin. Similar premise, the former was pretty good, the latter not so much. M. Night Shyamalan so that was predictable, though I’d read the book it was based on, and kinda liked it. The movie also moved one brutal punch from the book, and added another that didn’t feel like anything.
Leave the World Behind also had more than a few plot holes, but with all the actors bringing their a-game I could overlook those. Knock at the Cabin only had Dave Batista being good. For a former wrestler he’s an actually good actor, only his appearance keeping him in certain kind of roles.
