Smallman1 Was at an Irish wedding last month Sean. Two things - A) They all absolutely loved me. And B) I didn’t fall in a river after. The word winning springs back to mind!
Smallman1 seanc80 Ah good man. where was the wedding? Worthing. The groom was Irish and had north of 100 friends and family over, unbelievable bunch, a proper laugh!
Along_the_Wire Mixed by Erry. Italian. Based on a true story, interesting, quite funny and one of those subtitled film that the Doris would probably like. It’s on Netflix and defaults to dubbing - go with it for a minute - it’s so bad. 7/10
MH89 Alone season 3 on netflix. Participants are left alone in Alaska, who survives the longest wins. Very entertaining. Winner made it to 77 days I think and killed a wolverine with his axe lol. 8/10
Along_the_Wire Ban request for MH89. This should be in the Netflix thread, or at worst the general TV one. Sickening to see.
Homegrove I got Mubi for 3,60 € a month, so I’ll probably just ignore it and instead of watching some “real cinema” film I’ll just watch Heat again. That said, it has Angel Heart. That I do need to watch again. It has other good things in it besides Lisa Bonnet’s norks.
Along_the_Wire Asteroid City. Hard work watching that - way too much Wes Anderson in it to be enjoyable. Great cameos, superb sets, but just too much. 5/10
Homegrove The Holdovers was excellent. I’m going to have to buy that, will definitely be a holiday-stable in our house on future Christmases.

vinnyt77 Homegrove stable It’s SO rare that your English is anything but perfect, that this might be a typo - but the saying is ‘a staple’ Although Veera might have insisted on horse related idioms at all times…
Along_the_Wire BlackBerry. Early contender for film of the year (the year I watched it, anyway) - definitely sets off as a comedy, like a dark Office and then gets darker. It’s basically a fictionalisation of the BlackBerry story. Wonderful stuff 9/10
alistair Along_the_Wire very funny especially Balsillie’s antics. Desperate for that franchise. Textbook example of how quickly you can fall from grace.
C_J Along_the_Wire I see that everyone seems to be enjoying this. I thought it was alright but 50 minutes was enough for me.
Along_the_Wire Amps yeah and that - just think it was all too much - he needed someone to put a brake on him
