Today’s classic movie I’ve never seen before was Rushmore (1998). What a lovable sociopath Nax Fischer was, and Bill Murray is unbelievable in it. 4,5/5. Half point deducted because despite only lasting 97 minutes it dragged a bit a few times.

Homegrove Couldn’t stop thinking about this movie after The Holdovers, time for a rewatch. 10/10 soundtrack.

Homegrove How did you miss Magnolia for this long? That too a BluRay addict. haha.

Licorice Pizza: Watched this on the big bird flying home from India. What a great film. The acting and the pace was spot on with a cracking sound to match the 70’s setting. The two main characters Cooper Hoffman/Alana Haim were a perfect match along with the whole cast especially Bradley Cooper. A modern day love story 8/10

rhouses I have a lot of holes in my movie knowledge. That’s a great thing, so many good movies still to watch.

Terrible weather here, so instead of going for a midday walk I watched a lunchtime-movie. Last one for my winter holiday project of watching one classic I’ve never seen before every day, An American Werewolf in London (1981). I was confused, wasn’t this supposed to be a horror comedy? Then the last half an hour was a riot. I’d also like to see the movie in the porn theatre, looked like a classic. Jenny Agutter and the doctor were also ripped straight from Airplane! I doubt I’ll ever watch this one again, but I had fun with it.

Saw that when I was a kid and scared the shit out of me. Rewatched as an adult realising it is a very dark comedy/horror. Even the music used in it is parodying itself.

I watched this in my first year in high school around a friends house. The scene where he first turned into a werewolf is classic. A suspect it looks well dodgy by today’s standards

whatever the first hour was just a bad horror movie, the last 30 minutes a good laugh.

Dubman the efx was pretty good, obviously 1981 but not as 1981 as you would think. And the make up was amazing. Ghost Jack especially was unbelievably good. The movie looked great otherwise too, I suspect it was the restoration that Arrow Video released on 4K. I watched it from Prime.

What is the weather like there H-dog?

C_J rain and wind. The forecast is -1 to +2 C degrees for the next week, so fun! Ice freezing again every night, then melting during the day. So gore tex-shoes on for the foreseable future.

The werewolf change scene is brilliantly done. Creature effects in that era were excellent imo. The Thing is the best example.

I like this sort of shit so will watch it. Bob from Bob’s Burgers as his inner voice is a choice.
