Mad_Cyril it seems so utterly ridiculous when you write it down, but there we are.

    What a jumper!

    An absolute fave!

    Copycat (1995)

Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter in a crime ‘thriller’ set in San Francisco, where someone is killing people in the same style as famous serial killers.

Bit of a mixed bag this one - at times it felt quite good, but then let itself down with some nonsensical Hollywood stuff. The ending was very cheesy. Some good San Fran scenery in places though.

gcw watched that again a few years back. Remember thinking it was just too 90s.

This is a really good dramatisation of behind the scenes in the ABC Sports newsroom during the Munich 1972 massacre. It’s cut seamlessly with live footage and explores moral dilemmas where the interest of the hostages, the viewing public and that of the broadcaster conflict. There are some superb performances especially from John Magaro and the attention to detail in recreating the 70’s recording studio is superb. Really enjoyed this. Go watch it.

        Heart Eyes.
Rom Com Slasher. Thought this was a lot of fun. Sweet Rom, funny Com and doesn’t skimp on the Slashing. Recommend if you like this sort of thing.

Homegrove I wouldn’t normally expect this to be a good movie theatre film, but actually you get a real sense of the claustrophobia in the studio watching it in the cinema.

Wasily it’s opening here at the end of March, so will have to wait awhile longer.

Nice list. Should have heating back in the fillin room next week so good timing!

The Gorge. Pretty decent but daft sci fi action about 2 snipers tasked with guarding a mysterious gorge on opposite sides of it. Wasn’t expecting too much but enjoyed it.

            Captain America: Brave New Woke

Took the family to see men in spandex trying to save the world (again) 5/10

The Order - not bad. Worth a watch. 7.5 KKK hoods / 10

            Lawrence of Arabia

Peter O’Toole plays an English homosexual who minces around the Middle East in an attempt to further British colonialism and indulge his own ego, before discovering to his horror that he has no aptitude for politics, but does have an appetite for murdering foreigners.

It’s a fairly decent melodrama but it just looks gorgeous, the cinematography is pure boss, it’s like something from a Moebius / Jodorowski panel. Came away from it hating modern cinema even more.

Sounds like one of Smallman’s Corfu soirées

Amps even I’d seen that before! It’s my dream to catch it at cinema one day. Modern TV are a huge step up from tube TVs for movies, but for some they are still not enough.
