2010: The Year We Make Contact
The 1984 sequel to 2001. Bit of an odd one to say the least. First out it’s just a visually jarring film, the mix of original props and sets from 2001 sit oddly with the newer 80s stuff, as does the film stock and colourisation. Somehow it’s lighter on storyline than the original, yet lacking any of the tension or intrigue of it’s predecessor… ultimately it’s just a sort of odd anti cold war piece.
