Nobody - Solid action movie, and it doesn’t really feel like action because the violence is quite gritty and real, not very flashy. It kinda reminded me of A History of Violence with Viggio. Just the right amount of humour so it doesn’t feel campy. 7.9/10
Wind River - Watched this properly after having it with me for years. Obviously can never get tired of Elizabeth Olson, but I don’t think she really fits the tough as nails FBI agent. Still, she’s a pleasure and a complete honey. I enjoyed Renner a lot, dialect just clear enough so you don’t need subtitles. Quite a beautiful movie to watch with all the animal tracking and snow. The murder mystery is compelling and wrenching when you have to watch the act. 8.⅒
Road Runner - Not a movie but putting this here. Went with really low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by how honest it is, especially at the end. They’ve edited it well so it feels like Bourdain is talking you through his life. But fuck, he really loses it at the end. Loses all the cool. Sad to see. Well worth a watch if you’re a fan. Could stop thinking about the Chappelle joke either. Ha. 8.7/10
