Crimson Peak: Found this on some underrated horror movie list. On paper, you’d think this will easily deliver. It doesn’t and it’s a long fucking ride. The acting is terrible, Chastain overdoing it and the worst of the lot. The plot is exactly what you’re thinking but I won’t spoil. What it does have going for it, is the violence and gore. Surprising with the pride and prejudice feel to it.
Best avoided. I wanted to turn it off 40 mins in, the missus wanted to keep watching. Say it all really. 4.2/10
