The invisible man - so so. Watched it because it was done by the guy who did ‘Upgrade’ (Leigh whannel) which is a very decent lower budget movie and Elizabeth Moss is a good actress. Guess this was hollywood giving Whannel a higher budget chance. Starts off well with it being slightly more ambiguous if the main character is insane or not and some nice direction choices but then gets more and more conventional as it goes on. I think Hollow Man was a better invisible man movie. 7/10

Copshop. Daft, fun action film about a hitman holed up in a police station with various people trying kill him. Gerard Butler is in it but more of an ensemble. Alexis Louder is the standout. Joe Carnahan directed….he did The Grey and Narc. On Amazon

Boiling Point was excellent - a lovely stressful watch, who knew what would go wrong?! a lot of very, very good actors. 8/10

Stuck on US Marshals. Seem to remember liking it at the time, but wow is it shit. Tommy Lee Jones in a ’I’m the boss and a really massive dickhead too’ role. Cheesy lines and acting. Wesley Snipes is alright though.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009)

I remember struggling with this years ago but I think I knew there was a good film in there somewhere. It largely depends on your tolerance for Nick Cage but I thought he was genius in this, absolutely bursting off the screen. Eva Mendes is good too.

I actually think this is a bit of a classic now.

alistair I have and I thought it was really really good mate.

Freeman’s accent threw me a bit at first but I came out of it with a lot more respect for him than when I went in.
