Kells77 Need to broaden horizons beyond cocaine smuggling and Italian gangsters. haha.

Christian haha She did take over this week. Too much 30 for 30 drove her nuts admittedly.

‘The vast of night’ - pretty average flick. Had heard good things about it from a few people but they seem to be going off on the production (which is well done for a microbudget) rather than the flick itself. 6 UFOs / 10

Atonement: Goddamn this was a weird movie… I still can’t get that image of Cumberbitch out of my head. Rich cinematography, the Ladybird actress is exceptional and if I’m not mistaken, a pretty intense ‘one shot’ of Dunkirk that paints a fairly different picture than the Nolan movie. I personally thought the ending and ‘twist’ was a bit lame, but it might work for some. Nonetheless, worth a watch for sure. 8.6/10

Mad_Cyril Really enjoyed all the acting from the ladies, but the subject matter really puts you off. Some pretty slimy stuff.

    Along_the_Wire

The protagonist is a world famous bouncer and the antagonist drives around in a literal monster truck. What’s not to like here.

I also like to imagine Dalton grew tired of small town life, moved to LA. grew he hair out, took up surfing, and started robbing banks under the name of “Brody.”

Matchpoint: Was it weird watching a Woody Allen movie? Kinda. This made for a good drama and it does keep you hooked as you’re sort of waiting for Jonathan Rhys’ character to go full Talented Mr. Ripley. Can’t say it’s Allen’s best, but it’s good enough. 8.2/10

Along_the_Wire i was just going to assume you’d never seen roadhouse, then you make a comment like this about the masterpiece that is point break. sad.

The Insider: This dragged like a motherfucker. Could have easily edited out an hour. Don’t really get the hype around it, though the acting is good and it is fairly interesting that all the characters are real. Enjoyed Christoper Plummer but that’s about it. Too much corporate fuckery I couldn’t care less about. 7.⅒

Watched A Prophet again the other night.Brilliant film.

      Scoob!

Standard mystery ‘arc’ deftly interwoven with a Scooby/Shaggy buddy tale, including heart-warming ‘origin story’.

Scooby’s range is truly breathtaking, potential Oscar nomination looming?

Sprinkled with further stardust by guest appearances from Dastardly, Muttley, Captain Caveman and Simon Cowell.

Cowell’s cartoon fizzog is actually more realistic than his real life one.

303abuser it’s a film I enjoyed first time I watched it at the cinema, but then I must’ve grown up. I bought it on DVD when it was in a sale bin years and years ago and re-watched it - it was fucking dreadful. Don’t let nostalgia cloud your vision.
