Jules72 Elvis… dramatisation of the man’s rise and fall. Not a theme that I thought would appeal to me, but I found it entertaining and engrossing - the 2.5 hours passed by pretty quickly. Tom Hanks is a strong support as Elvis’ manager/promoter. 8/10
Along_the_Wire Jules72 I read a bad review of that as it all too fluffy and doesn’t delve into the depravity and of having chronic constipation and dying of a heart attack absolute riddled with drugs
303abuser Homegrove Hottest night of the year so far, and being in Finland were mostly concerned with warming up our houses, rather than cooling down First, we’ve had 2 days this year over 25 degrees, so deal with it lol. Second, do the right thing is a great heat wave movie. Stifling heat makes you feel like your immersed in the film and you get bonus points for wearing a public enemy shirt.
Dubman Watched Nitram last night after the king the toilets Mark Kermode rated it. Based on the true story about Martin Bryant who went on to do the biggest mass shooting in Australia in 1996. A hard hitting story which led to the biggest gun reform in Australia. A hard watch but still good 8/10
Dubman Along_the_Wire Got off a torrent site. I think it was released last year sometime but is now at UK cinemas.
Along_the_Wire Dan I’m not bothered about him, but if you’re gonna do a biopic on him at least tell the truth. Also, the King Cunt post was just a follow up to a LOL from Ed on the cricket thread…
Along_the_Wire The Lost City. It looked shit and it was fully confirmed within minutes of it starting. The missus wanted some easy watching as she’s got the rona and RT gave it 79% so I thought I’d go with it - happy wife, happy life and all that old shite. Absolutely fucking dreadful - I’m astonished this was actually made. 0/10
Phil-McRackin Hatching. Finnish film about a girl who finds an egg and something nasty hatches out of it. Coming of age horror with some social media comentary. Not wildly originally but enjoyed it.
gcw Finally got around to watching No Time To Die on Saturday. Not a bad film as such, packed full of the usual stunts etc. Wouldn’t be a massive loss if they ended the franchise there I think (I know that they wont)
Along_the_Wire Should’ve ended it before the Brosnon era - Bond films from then on have been absolute fucking cack.
Homegrove jonattonyeah I like even Quantum of Solace, but I’m not a huge fan of Skyfall. Spectre was fucking awful. Quite liked the new one, and Casino Royale is excellent.
