Lol. He definitely had a bit of a crush on our Ed.

Watched Top Gun: Maverick the other weekend. Not as good as the first, but still great.

I can recommend.

You’re welcome.

Den of Thieves - thought it started off quite well. Predictable throughout and unsurprising end. The action scenes aren’t bad. If you’re low on things to watch it might be worth a squiz. 6/10

Beastie boys story. A half decent film about the boys when they first started out. Up until the death of Adam Yauch in 2012. It didn’t realise the the ‘Dust Brothers’ produced their second album Paul’s Boutique.

That’s not The Chemical Brothers as I’m sure you know D-Man.

Reservoir Dogs. Had not seen it in a decade, or more, still knew the lines by heart. This time I also heard Mr Pink getting caught by the cops outside the warehouse, which I’d missed previously.

Spiderman - No Way Home: Was expecting this to be good. Can’t say it was. Tobey Maguire looks drug addled. Fairly entertaining at best, but didn’t really do much for me, especially with all the universes colliding etc etc etc. 5/10

Licorice Pizza: I had to watch this twice, mostly to make sure it wasn’t shite. Only got through half of it the first time, pretty much the Stranger Things/Euphoria situation, where I can’t bring myself to care about characters who are in high school. The missus complaining about how the characters were ugly and pimple faced didn’t help either. The second time around I felt this was an absolute masterpiece. The entire Bradley Cooper scene was an amazing movie watching experience, had everything from hilarity to absolute tension. And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get the feels at the end. Solid solid solid movie. PTA hitting it out of the park yet again. 8.8/10

Phantom Thread: Put this on after shutting off Licorice Pizza the first time. Holds up, big time. Daniel Day Lewis bring his a-game and then some. I can’t stop thinking about how funny the scene is where Alma surprises him with a candle light dinner after getting fair warning from the sister, who is also absolutely brilliant in this. 9 / 10

Watched Possum last night to see what the fuss was about. It was alright, i thought it went on a bit. 5 / 10

Death Proof - What the fuck is this? So much sitting around talking. Tarantino wanking himself off with loads of insider Hollywood guff and overbuilding of characters that are basically him in different bodies. Kurt Russell is good playing Kurt Russell. The rest is dull.

Wedding Crashers. First time watching, and I wish I hadn’t. Pretty fucking bad.

BlainSA I like it, but I can understand it’s a required taste. A lot of people think it’s Tarantino’s worst movie, but for me that is Hateful Eight. It’s just too damn long.

Original Point Break. That was better than I expected, sure Keanu was fucking awful, but Kathryn Bigelow could direct an action scene back then too like almost no other. The foot chase scene was amazing.

Nope…another utterly preposterous film from Jordan Peele about an alien that looks like a UFO and eats humans and animals… very entertaining it is too 8/10

Speed (1994) tonight. Well that surprised me, still a rollercoaster-ride. It’s held up remarkably well. Naturally it needs an insane amount of “it’s just a movie” thinking.

Millsy lol. I started to really miss Dennis Hopper now. Between this and True Romance he had two iconic roles in the 90s.
