Homegrove Training Day. Still awesome. Ethan Hawke said that half way through the first day of shooting he knew Denzel was going to win an Oscar for this movie. And his job was to not fuck up throwing Denzel balls to him hit our of the stadium. Ethan’s good in this too though, and got nominated for best supporting.
Along_the_Wire Men. Rubbish, formulaic British countryside horror. Just get in the car and drive home, you stupid cunt. 3/10
Mad_Cyril Along_the_Wire You’ve been posting a bit lately is all, possibly just selected posts I’ve seen. Guess looking at the tense, building stuff rather than outright gorefests, all that’s pretty shite.
Cankles-McJeggings Horror is such a wank genre. Watch Kill list. The only fucked up horror film to consider.
nicksneddon Cankles-McJeggings Kill List is an absolutely demonic film, some proper nastiness in it. I kept thinking the lead was Tubes from Soccer AM though which took the edge off it a bit I actually liked Saint Maud thought it was really creepy
Along_the_Wire Mad_Cyril not been posting? Work has been trying to put me in an early grave. I’ve watched all sorts of horrors - some are good, but they’re few and far between.
RichM Eastern Promises 8/10. As good as a I remember it when it first came out. Need to rewatch a history of violence next
Along_the_Wire RichM Eastern Promises 8/10. As good as a I remember it when it first came out. Ooh, it’s on iPlayer too, will watch again myself
BlainSA RichM Eastern Promises 8/10. As good as a I remember it when it first came out. Need to rewatch a history of violence next Need to watch these again. He was great in A Serbian Film too. Must watch
Mad_Cyril Along_the_Wire Meant I’ve seen a few posts in this thread about films in that genre from you.
Dubman County lines. A very hard hitting drama about a 14 year who gets dragged into country lines drug scene. 7/10
RichM BlainSA who was in A Serbian film? I’ve not seen that and have zero interest in watching it either.
Along_the_Wire Phil-McRackin not seen it yet - how can you get hold of it? Can’t find it on Apple TV or Amazon
Phil-McRackin Along_the_Wire not sure it’s streamable legally anywhere in the uk to be honest…it was pretty controversial when it came out. It’s not a film to enjoy, deliberately offensive, shocking and angry but actually pretty well made, serious and trying to make a point, whether you agree with it or not.
BlainSA Do not watch it. Apologies. Sherbet got the better of me. I mean that, Grant. Do. Not. Watch. It. (that doesn’t mean watch it) If I can think of things I wish I didn’t do, watching A Serbian Film is one of them.
