What’s everyone’s opinions on the ending? Did he make it all up? Did he do it and not get caught? Was someone else framed for it? Did nobody believe it was him?

-si- the book is a famous piece of satire (one of the best books I’ve ever read) - the ending is open to all sorts of interpretations - hallucinations, his imagination or he might’ve done it.

-si- as per Grants comment. Read the book, it is tremendous and the film didn’t do too bad a job IMO.

Point Blank (1967). Gareth Cheshire told me to watch this after I raved about Steven Soderbergh’s The Limey on FB. Really good revenge pulp-movie. You can certainly see how it influenced Soderbergh, not sure if he actually ripped it off like Gareth told me.

I don’t think I’ve seen many Lee Marvin-movies. I can only remember one for sure besides this, Emperor of the North, and that was on TV when I was 10 or something.

The first Star Wars is out in cinemas next Friday for a week for some reason. I never saw it at the cinema when I was a kid as my step-dad was a massive cunt. Am going to see it at an XL screen - looks like XL is a method of extracting slightly more money from you for seeing it in the bigger auditoriums in the multiplex. Cunts.

I did see when i was an 8 year old kid in 77 and can’t remember much about the experience but would love to watch it again on the big screen.

One of my fondest memories was taking my lad to see TLJ when he was about 6 and him absolutely losing it when the intro kicked in. 🙂

Along_the_Wire ‘Return of the Jedi’ and ‘The Last Jedi’ Grant - more Star Wars films - you should check them out if you like episode IV. Dunno if you’re aware but at the time, Ep4 was a modest success so they released some more movies.

Wally never seen them in acronym form is all. There are two good Star Wars films, the first one and TESB. The one with the Ewoks is an abomination!

The Last Jedi is a top drawer Star Wars flick, sits comfortably in 3rd place behind TESB and ANH (more acronyms for you 😃 ) - with the exception of Andor (which is class), it’s the last decent thing Star Wars did imo. The rest has been fan boy pleasing shite.

After the original three, Rogue One is the only one worth watching, the rest are muck.
