Rate The Last Movie you Watched

Watched a couple of films on my flight today.
‘The smashing machine’ starring The Rock & Emily Blunt. Based on a true story of Mark Kerr the ex UFC fighter. Thought it was ok but his acting really got on my nerves as he seemed to be permanently frowning for the whole film.

I forced myself to watch the whole film and there’s nothing good about it even the racing commentary seemed like it was recorded on a different planet.

Knight of Cups (2015). The Terrence Malick-film where he ditches any pretense at normal movie narrative. ⅗ still I guess. His movies just look so beautiful even if it’s 2 hours of Christian Bale looking at buildings at water between frolicking with several different beautiful women.

Wouldnt miss the bone temple on the big screen. Loved it. Garland nails it with the storyline, beautifully directed, none of that boyle gimmickry and emo shit, and ralph is on another level.

Along_the_Wire you saw the previous one? Was shite. But there’s a big pay off in this and one of nuttiest set pieces Ive ever seen.

rhouses I’ve seen the first one, which was shite and the second one, which is beyond an abomination of a film.

It’s usual for the first film in a series of sequels to be the best of the them, not to have utter shit in the first three releases and then finish with your best.

Along_the_Wire remembered loving the first one, but tried it to warm up for these new ones. Had to shut it off after 15. Didnt bother with the second. This new one could be the best.

It’s about the least important news right now, but I’m pretty happy with the Oscar-nominations, especially with Sinners leading with 16. F1 getting a Best Picture nomination is pretty funny though. I mean I’ve seen it twice already, it’s an entertaining pop corn-movie, but best picture lol?

Wasily Same. Having said that, the Oscars are bollocks anyway. Titanic and Gladiator absolutely murdered it for me.
