To be honest, I do like Heat. I just don’t think it’s amazing and I enjoy taking the piss out of its fanboys. Pacino’s performance is overwrought and one of his weakest. The Irishman is a superior De Niro-Pacino double header, apart from the glitches in the de-aging.

bosstrabs the “it is what it is” scene in the Irishman certainly blows any acting either Pacino or DeNiro do in Heat out of the water. Pesci is also his best maybe ever in the movie, and yes I do mean that.

Been meaning to rewatch it lately, you mentioning it might persuase me.

bosstrabs it was an AA Admirals Club - the worst lounges and this was the worst of them - left it and sat at a bar - paid some guy a tenner to play a Radiohead song - he was pretty good. Annoyingly, first class was empty on the plane, but didn’t get upgraded. I say annoyingly, but I was fast asleep for the whole flight, so it didn’t matter
