I started watching Terrence Malick’s film last year never having seen any previously, and two films into the project I knew I also had to own them all. Here’s my ranking with just one watch of each under my belt:
The Tree of Life
The New World
The Thin Red Line
Days of Heaven

I watched all of these solo, because if there’s one thing my wife hates it’s a meandering movie with little plot that’s too long, and well that’s Terrence Malick in a nutshell. But I loved watching them (Song to Song really tried my patience though). At least half of them are cinema masterpieces in my opinion, and all look amazing. So it’s a bit of a crime that only Days of Heaven has been released in 4K. Though thankfully all of the Blu rays are really well done too, and have fantastic transfers.
