Amps oh i’m sure of that. just need to get rid of the soccer injuries. in the last 5 years i’ve torn my mcl twice, meniscus once, broken foot, chipped tooth, and another 35 smaller injuries. getting too old for this stuff.
do you climb?
303abuser Done a little bit, off and on, not very good, but quite enjoy it.

If you haven’t, I do hope you get to see Yosemite in the flesh. Pictures might capture the beauty, but they never capture the scale. El Capitan and Half Dome are gigantic beyond belief.
jonattonyeah I’d love to but not sure when. I think I may have one more Trek in the Himalayas to the Karakorums to see K2.
Well if you have the wills and the ables at some point for Yosemite, shoot me a PM. I’ll get you sorted with the best way to go about it. HINT: staying outside the park is often the best plan.
jonattonyeah Yosemite is definitely on my bucket list. It looks incredible
the king of staten island was surprisingly good. didn’t know it was judd apatow until the credits, so that would explain it.
Meru is an excellent climbing film. Same director as Free Solo. Also has some proper nutty bits in it, like a guy getting his head split open in an accident during a break in their attempt to scale it, and still coming back.
Millsy yeah but they took a harder route up iirc. In Free Solo most of the route is via that fucking great split in the granite. Yours, Edmund Hillary

Had no idea you were such a mountaineer Millsy!
My last big climb was Snowdonia.
Makes El Capitan look like a walk in the park.
Smallman1 Be honest. Did you get the train up.
I didn’t.
I did get the train up to Macchu Picchu though but that’s only because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have been able to have seen the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.
What a life I’ve led!
Smallman1 the lakes in Bolivia are incredible… been twice
Millsy bucket list.
Didn’t know you were American Millsy?
Millsy it is. It’s like another planet altogether

Amps that’s cool, i’m sure i’ll give it a try at some point. seems like a fun activity, minus the falling off a mountain part haha.
303abuser Yeah, it gets interesting when your plotting and working stuff out and then wildly disappointing when you realise your a bit shit at it.
Meru. Watched it again. Dunno if you can stream it anywhere, but Google-rental (or elsewhere) of about 3 € is well worth it if you like your climbing movies. That Conrad Anker dude has had some life. Found Mallory’s body on Mount Everest, and climbed the second step with 1924 gear to prove that Mallory and Irvine could have summited then.
Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets. Got tremendous reviews, but it’s just a bit shit and boring - yes, it’s clever, yes the end gives you a pleasant surprise, but you can experience it yourself for real in a flat roofed pub in Broxburn or Barnsley. 5/10.
