I watched it recently, been going through some classic films with our youngest - he’s been loving it and it’s been great watching films like that you haven’t seen for a long time. French Connection up next - what a treat
Along_the_Wire Now you’re talking. The second part is class too. What a character Popeye is.
Nicholson is such a great actor, and Chinatown is superb.
Imagine a night out on the lash with Nicholson!
He was still crushing it with the ladies not too long ago too. Love this clip.
LT42 Yeah, love the second one - always underrated that one, but it’s great - Gene Hackman does some turn in that.
bosstrabs I don’t hate her as such. In fact she seems sound. I just tend to struggle with her. Plus I didn’t actually know she was in it.
Love Hackman in his pomp too. Mississippi Burning might need a run out soon too. Quality
Millsy Get Shorty a great Hackman vehicle. Thought it was shit when it came out, didn’t concentrate properly. Watched it again a few years ago and it was magnificent. Hackman playing basically a wimp, totally different to his usual roles, but brilliant.
Watched “Enemy of the State” not too long ago. Held up quite well! Hackman is excellent in it as always.
Apocalypto - 4/10. Lots of action, and a sad story, but it was too long, and some of the plot just fell flat for me.
Kells77 I’ll bet you any money you don’t get as much grief as me for a similar post. If any.

Did you previously get grief for watching a shitty movie? That’s not really fair. We all do it lol. I’ll take my lumps if the come though. My only defense is that I was ill yesterday, so poor choices were always going to happen 😂
Kells77 To be fair, it’s a two-way Street.
All I said was that I loved that film so please be respectful.
Sorry Kel, I had to downvote
C_J lol….fine.
C_J You did you be fair, but I’ll bet you wouldn’t have mentioned it on this occasion.
I’m just about to watch Vivarium. Hold tight.
Along_the_Wire Why because it’s Kelley?!
i damn near took her whole review to shreds until I saw your post!!
C_J lol, shred it. I don’t care. I like what I like, or in this case, don’t like. 🤷🏼♀️
C_J Vivarium (widely available on most paid-for platforms). It’s not for me to be honest, but I like what’s being done and would like to encourage more films of this nature being made. Fucking miles better than the usual Hollywood tripe on offer. Still, 6/10
All The Right Moves (1983)
Wouldn’t say “all” of Tom’s moves were right, but all worked out okay in the end thanks to coach. He’ll miss his brother, his friends, and his girl, but it was time he said goodbye to the old steel mill town.
5/10
jonattonyeah Is that the one where he gets his fingers wet in some bird in the back of his car? Think that’s the only bit I remember of the film lol

It’s a great movie. If you don’t like it, fine. Maybe it’s more of a guys film. But I don’t think you really watched it. I mean really watched it. It’s not a sad movie that’s why I think you didn’t really watch it.
watch it again and smoke some weed before.
The Sweeney with Ray Winston playing himself as he always seems to do. Plus some rapper called Plan B. Not a patch on the original TV series but entertaining none the less. 6/10
