C_J yeah. He fit the character physically much better than John Hannah, but the Hannah-ones were more faithful to the books otherwise. It also helped they had James Cosmo as Cafferty.

Watched Tenet last night - terrific on my massive tele and surround sound - kept getting mithered to turn the sound down. She hated it and didn’t have a clue what was going on at any point, despite numerous pauses to keep her up to date. I really enjoyed it - quite the head fuck and will need to watch it again as I missed some bits. 8/10

Along_the_Wire I tried to watch that on Saturday but was snoring within half an hour. Probably too much wine. I will try again this weekend.

Rocks… British drama about a mother abandoning her kids, and the daughter (Rocks ) having to look after her brother… she d avoided this previously because the theme didn’t really appeal at all but I thought it was funny and heart-warming…. strong recommend 8/10 ((it’s on Netflix)

Irresistible, political comedy set in small town US of A. Steve carrell, rose byrne and chris cooper.

This was a decent enough way to pass a couple of hours. Some funny parts in the film. Not a classic and not sure i would watch it a second time either but a decent enough outing.

watched On The Rocks with the duchess last night. Perfect Sunday evening fodder. Bill Murray is brilliant in it.

Iffy Really enjoyed this. 8/10. Very smart subversion up the typical western Rhouses rag-to-riches story.

jonattonyeah I thought so too but all the characters were actually shown going inside trains instead of hanging by a thread outside with 5K of their mates.

Watched “One Night in Miami” last night. 7/10. It was interesting, but kinda boring in parts. I didn’t know that the 4 of those dudes were good friends though, so I learned something at least.

slabs Yeah….I wouldn’t be mad if someone took the same plot and just re-wrote it and tried again. There’s a lot more that could be done with that premise.
