i watched the score last night (deniro/norton from 2001). wasn’t as good as i’d remembered it, but not bad. norton got a lol for going full retard.

mono-stereo personally didn’t like it - couldn’t make out 80% of what they were saying and was a total misery-fest…. certainly managed to build a sinister atmosphere though… one or two of the chaps on here liked it IIRC

Along_the_Wire exactly… trying too hard some of these films.. haven’t seen Bait and unlikely to do so given my bullshit detector went off… Being released in Black and White is often a bad sign imo

Flawless.

I just love how it’s not even really a movie. There’s barely a plot. The entire thing is asinine. Love it. Also love Roger Ebert’s review. Sounds like he’s in the midst of an existential crisis.

Inside Man. For a Spike Lee-joint it doesn’t try to be anything, except for a really well done movie. A very good way to spend a Sunday evening.

Watched Extraction following CJ’s recommendation and a bit of desperation. Was actually quite good. Definitely better than expected given the majority of Netflix’s film output seem to be a disappointment. Impressive fight scenes for sure if that’s your thing.

watched midsommar and lighthouse yesterday. midsommar was pretty disappointing after hearing good things; visually well done, but the rest was pretty flat. lighthouse was ok, definitely had to turn the subtitles on to follow the dialogue. i’ve seen worse, wouldn’t watch it again.
