Green Room (2015, BluRay)

Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots and Paddy Stewart navigate a hostage situation at a far-right gig in the woods.

I really enjoyed this tight little number…..but enough about Imogen. Well acted, well paced, well crafted. Simple but effective. Good use of dogs.

Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway and Tim Robbins sue DuPont for poisoning the world.

This is a worthy tale that starts out kind of alright but ends up dragging on a bit. It’s not completely unwatchable but you will glance at your watch.

Watched The Firm and lost interest after the 30 min intro into Cruise’s perfect life. Don’t know what happened but I hope he lost everything and ended up working at Walmart doing double shifts.

The Hater (2020)

Polish flick with overdub/subtitles.

Thoroughly enjoyed it! A bit long but I had fuck all to do today anyway. About a sociopathic kid who goes ham on social media for what seems to be the sheer hell of it (or to pull this one babe - whichever). Well shot. Well acted. Well paced. Solid 8/10.

The Last Seduction - great fIlm from 1994 - Linda Fiorentino is fantastic in it. Fit as fuck too. 8/10

it’s considered a classic neo-noir. I had to look it up to be honest - looks like I love neo-noir films as a general rule of thumb.

Also watch Shoot the Moon, pretty much the only Alan Parker I’ve never seen. The most notable thing in it is subliminal advertising for Another Brick in the Wall. It’s okay, quite dated, 6/10

In both films you see a doris getting the back of a man’s hand - don’t see that very often these days.

So true, check out the opening scenes of the original The Longest Yard with Burt Reynolds, slaps the bejaysus out his missus then steals her car, lights up a stogie, laughs, and then tears off under hot pursuit from the filth. Classic.

Along_the_Wire blimey. Haven’t seen the last seduction in yonks. I actually studied it for an A level course back in the 90s. Did a whole election on neo noir. Some great films from that stable.
