Homegrove it’s probably not the same on telly as it was on the biggest screen in town when it was released.
Edwand has the biggest screen in Tooting HG.
It’s just full of water from the leaky roof
rhouses Passed out hard
An you explain what passed out ‘hard’ means in relation to simply falling asleep?
Cankles-McJeggings explain what passed out ‘hard’ means in relation to simply falling asleep
Falling asleep with the little fella standing to attention?
How would he know?
Cankles-McJeggings I’m not sure. And I’m certainly not Googling it!!
It means I was out cold on the couch and when the movie was over, my wife took great joy in waking me up, as my eyes were on fire from trying to get up while still sleeping. REM bitches.
Smallman1 Great film.
Beautiful Boy (2018) Quite a sombre look at a parents fight to save his son from a serious drug addiction, based on a true story. Steve Carell plays the father of Timothee Chalomet, both actors put in a strong performance I thought.
gcw I enjoyed this. Two good performances from two talented actors like you said.
Watched air last night. For a two hour Nike commercial, it surprisingly wasn’t too bad. I think the soundtrack did a bit of the heavy lifting.
Tetris (2023)
Absolute fucking dogshit. Avoid like the plague.
0/5
C_J Why would you?
C_J Did you end up watching that Korean flick, “Decision to Leave”? Can’t remember if it was you who said it was lined up…
Oldboy (2003)
I reckon 16 year old Amps would have quite liked this and thought it was some proper edgy tale of revenge, but 46 year old Amps thinks its just okay in a pseudo John Woo kinda way.
2.5 wild as fuck octopus eating scenes out of 5
Dark City (1998) - recommended to me as decent sci-fi - enjoyable watch, but it’s a bit of a mess and has so many plot holes. 6/10
Project Wolf Hunting. Lots of bad people trapped on a ship with an experimental Japanese super soldier left over from the war. Hilariously violent and very enjoyable.
Sisu A Finnish John wick who is a gold digger during the 2nd world war takes on the Nazis. A pretty violent caper. 7/10
Duel (1971)
I’ve always loved this, and hadn’t seen it in a while. The concept, the cinematography, the lack of dialogue. 9 horn toots out of 10 IMO
gcw Brilliant film. Put Spielberg on the map. Masterful the way he builds tension and reveals little, a technique he hones to perfection in Jaws.
alistair Alistair’s been on the Barry Norman Pickled Onions.
Pretty sure gcw hasn’t been living in a cave.
