Wally already posted in the Netflix-thread, but I guess this is ok too. Fincher’s movies often have great teaser trailers. This was no exception. Always also thought that Fassbander should have had a bigger career, so it’s good to see him.

I have watched a couple of random films in the last few days

Disclosure (1994) - Michael Douglas has had some gigs hasn’t he? Romping on screen with Sharon Stone and Demi Moore and married to Catherine Zeta-Jones. Anyway this was a decent enough film, albeit the technology aspect was obviously very dated. i do remember reading the book back in the 90s but couldn’t remember the plot. Would score this a 7/10.

Do The Right Thing (1989) - this could well be my first Spike Lee film? Anyway I really enjoyed it - bit off the wall and random in parts but I guess that’s intentional isn’t it. Was weird seeing a lot of actors who are well known now but much younger then e.g. Giancarlo Esposito, John Turturro etc. Would give this one an 8/10 and I may rewatch it one day.

gcw Do The Right Thing is one of my favorite movies, I watch it once a year at least. Spike Lee is hit and miss, but this one is as close to perfect as it gets for me.

Good Time: It’s a trip and quite similar to Uncut Gems, where you have a maddening lead character, that frustrates you to another level. Sound is quite grating as well. But overall I enjoyed it, because it has you on edge consistently, and the ending is quite poignant. Was happy to have put in the time even though it the exact opposite of ‘chill’. 7.9 / 10

Dungeons & Dragons…Got a Paramount subscription to watch Lioness but realised there’s not much else that I can see that’s good bar Yellowstone, so watched this. Some amusing ones liners but not enough to justify 2 hours of my time. 5/10

Was a two birds one stone scenario, keeps getting mentioned on The Rewatchables podcast and had no memory of it, but remembered watching it during the Laser Disc era. Was also fairly sure junior was fast asleep after a heavy morning of activity, rare two hours to kill with the missus. And yes, it was a ‘me time’ strain of herb.

Loved the Hatton doc film. So authentic. You forget how electric he was when he was young. A one off.
