wrongun yep, both have been out for a few weeks now. Both good especially the first

    Along_the_Wire I put on a Robag Wruhme compilation (Wuppdeckmischmampflow from 2011) over the weekend as I’d been really liking his productions recently. Got me curious - Venq Tolep from last year is new to me, but fuck me, that’s a great album.

    Am listening to Venq Tolep now, what a beautiful album.

        alistair I’ve rinsed the new Doves album - it’s brilliant, there’s not a single duff track on there. Look forward to the Brixton Academy gig in April being cancelled early in the new year.

            Along_the_Wire It’s fantastic isn’t it. There’s not a duff track on it. The lyrics and Jimi’s voice are so emotive, especially now. Broken eyes is probably the best song I have heard this year mate. Anyone else heard the album yet?

                Yeah, it’s a belter. They won’t play it live I’ll bet, the bastards. They never play Walk in Fire, which is their best track IMHO

                    Along_the_Wire so difficult to pick a best track from their enviable back catalogue. Cathedrals of the mind is another belter from the new album

                        alistair that one definitely stands out for me - the rest would be difficult to choose, definitely.

                          Have heard the new Doves album and like it.

                          Find them more of a singles band rather than an album band but they are brilliantly solid.

                          Saw them at Glastonbury in the John Peel tent a few years ago and they absolutely tore it up.

                          Smallman1 Both Venq Tolep and Wuppdeckmischmampflow are worth having!

                                My coworkers electro duo has a new album out. Terrific.

                                One review compared it to Airdrawndagger and I can kinda hear it.

                                First time I have listened to Dosem all the way through. It won’t be the last. Excellent stuff.

                                  alistair I added it to my library but haven’t had the balls to jump in - the genre ‘dance’ on Apple Music makes me anxious. Will give it a whirl.
